<p>Hey friends, How the times have changed over the past 8 to 9 months. Friday was my first time back at the gym in about 3 months!</p>
<p>Not so fast, I’ve actually but running out doors! That’s right, so don’t go telling your friends I’ve been lazy. <img src='http://beyondadiet.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I have some amazing stories to share with you all. So stay tuned, I’ll recount the pain and suffering I experienced when I ran a 5K trail event last month!</p>
<p>I’ll also share some insight on how to recover from a rough workout or other physically straining activities.  There’s plenty of tips and insight to go around.</p>

<p>I’ve been busy promoting and writing for a new blogging magazine. We’re going through some adjustments at the moment, but the opportunities has certainly come my way!</p>

<li>Commit to a healthy lifestyle, not quick fixes, fad diets and miracle pills.</li>
<li>Find an accountability partner. Bluntly stated, <strong><em>&#8220;power in numbers.&#8221;</em></strong> I&#8217;ll write more on this topic in another post.</li>
<li>You may be more likely to complete something you schedule. <strong>Write a plan and work your plan.</strong></li>
</ol>

<p>Notice, small but specific changes not hire a personal trainer (Worth it if you can afford it) and take on an advanced workout program.</p>
<h3>A Short Story</h3>

<p>Last summer when I lost almost 30 lbs and cut 3 to 4 inches off my waist, I mostly did outdoor training. I did attend a local gym but I was not dependent upon the gym.</p>

<div>
<p>Allow me to remind you that quality exercise is only half the battle.</p>
</div>
<div>
<p>I also adjusted my eating habits but not by starving myself with some crash diet. Because of my increase in intense exercise my metabolism shot through the roof.</p>
</div>
<div>
<p>As a result, it required me to eat more meals. I was <em>eating more and still losing body fat.</em></p>
</div>
<h4>Lessons to remember</h4>

<li><span style="color:#ff0000;">What works for me will not always work for you</span>.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Everyone has different specific needs.</span></li>
<li>Holistic approach; <strong>exercise, nutrition, sleep</strong></li>

<p>Let&#8217;s focus on lifelong fitness, forget about what Hollywood stars are doing, and don&#8217;t be mislead by vain promises.</p>
<p>If you desire real change in your life, embrace the process and refocus your vision.</p>
<p>Stop looking to the scale.</p>
